Eggs, would you believe, are wonderful for helping you battle depression. Just be sure that you don’t toss out the egg yolk. The yolk is the most important part of the egg in terms of helping you cheer up. Eggs, the egg yolk in particular, are stuffed full of B vitamins. These B vitamins are terrific for helping to improve your mood. This is because these vitamins improve the function of your brain’s neural transmitters (the parts of the brain that dictate how you feel). Consume an egg and feel a lot happier!

Make a trail mixfrom different seeds and nuts. Your mood can be improved by eating peanuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc. This is possible because these foods are rich in magnesium which raises your production of serotonin. Not only that, nuts, particularly, are a great source of protein.

Cold water fish are good if you would like to be in a better mood. Cold water fish such as tuna, trout and wild salmon are high in DHA and omega-3 fats. Some grains are really wonderful for driving away bad moods. Barley, millet, quinoa, etc are great at helping you be happier. They help you feel full too which can really help to better your mood. Feeling famished can really bring you down! These grains can improve your mood as it’s not at all difficult for your body to digest them. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps promote a rise in your glucose levels which in turn kicks up your mood to a happier place.

Your mood could truly be helped by green tea. You just knew green tea had to be in this article somewhere, right? Green tea is chock-full of an amino acid called L-theanine.
